On A Budget

France is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in all of Europe, and it is also home to the city of love, Paris. If you are someone who is filled with wanderlust, I think it is time for you to check France off the list. When you visit France, you may be wondering how you would be able to afford such a trip to a city where everything is so elegant and posh. Well, France is filled with so many quaint places to eat, and you will have absolutely no issues paying for food. The small restaurants and cafes are the best ones because they will be owned by most locals who sell food made with the help of their own recipes which are exquisite indeed. There is so much to see and do in France, and I am sure that you are overwhelmed about how you will be able to pay for everything, but you need not worry. I will make sure to include some pointers that you will love.

do in France

  • Make sure that you pick your date in the offseason. Spring and summer are some of the most popular seasons to visit France, so do not go during those times. Why don’t you plan a trip some other time? There will be unspoiled landscapes with lesser tourists and also some really clean beaches with accommodation suiting your budgets. But, it would be best if you kept in mind that some bed and breakfasts shut down during winter and some places charge higher because of the cold. We travelled there during the month of October, and we only paid 70 Euros to stay in a French chateau which included breakfast and also, we were the only guests there. It was all so beautiful and peaceful as well. That was one memorable trip where I ended up saving so much money indeed.

  • Make sure that you avoid fast food when you are travelling to France because the local food is just delicious and I am sure that you will fall in love with the local food just like I did. I am a known foodie, so I loved everything that I tried there. When you travel off-peak seasons, you can expect traditional French restaurants to serve up multi-course meals for as low as 10 Euros. Prices for dinners may be a little higher, but I am sure that you will be able to afford it because you will be saving up on so many other things.
  • If you take a road trip, it is highly possible that you will see some of the most beautiful sights and I am sure you will love every minute of it.
